Roku signed a new partnership with DoorDash which will include shoppable interactive food ads.
The
new collaboration will launch with a deal from Wendy's, offering $5 off
orders made through the Roku platform through March 12.
- All
Roku subscribers will also receive an offer for six months access to
DashPass, the DoorDash membership program waiving delivery fees on
eligible orders.
- The overall financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed; Variety reports that it likely includes a revenue split for DoorDash orders and subscriptions placed through Roku devices.
- Roku debuted interactive shoppable ads last year, via a collaboration with Walmart.
- According to Roku's internal research, one-third of its users order takeout or food delivery at least once per week.
