Bank of America Corp. has agreed to a ten-year deal to become the title sponsor of the Boston Marathon, one of the world's oldest annual racing events.

 

Bank of America Corp. has agreed to a ten-year deal to become the title sponsor of the Boston Marathon, one of the world's oldest annual racing events.

 The Boston Athletic Association announced that the race, starting in 2024, will be known as "The Boston Marathon presented by Bank of America."

  • John Hancock will remain the sponsor for this year's event.
  • The financial terms of the deal have not been disclosed, but as part of the agreement, Bank of America will receive over 100 race bibs and the marketing and naming rights for the event.  
  • The race, scheduled for April 17 this year, will have approximately 30,000 runners competing.
  • In an interview, the Boston Athletic Association said their partnership with Bank of America "prepares us for the future — not just next month's race, but inspiring the next generation."
