Last week, Nvidia announced several new enhancements and partnerships for Omniverse Cloud during its virtual GTC conference.
The latest updates are aimed at automotive manufacturers and the industrial metaverse.
- Nvidia’s Omniverse Cloud
launched in 2022 and is a comprehensive PaaS that provides a full-stack
cloud environment that developers and enterprises can leverage to
design, develop, deploy, and manage industrial metaverse applications.
- At its GTC conference,
Nvidia shared that it had selected Microsoft Azure as the first cloud
partner for Omniverse Cloud. This collaboration will enable enterprise
users to leverage Nvidia’s full software stack in the cloud as well as
Nvidia’s OVX server infrastructure.
- Omniverse
Cloud now supports automotive manufacturers and the industrial
metaverse with its digital twin technology that provides a
digital-to-physical operating system for industrial digitalization.
- Currently, BMW is using Nvidia’s Omniverse Cloud platform to design a digital twin version of a factory slated to open in 2025.
