Austin-based edtech startup StudentVerse is creating a school-centric metaverse for students that can be used in physical classrooms or for distant learning.

The metaverse is optimized to run on school-provided computers and will be accessible to more people than expensive high-tech gadgets.

StudentVerse is developing a gamified curriculum that rewards students for participation, good grades, and other activities.

    • Students can use coins earned to upgrade their avatars.
  • The platform is customizable for different school districts with varying curricula.
    • The metaverse can also teach real-life skills that can't be learned from books.
  • The edtech startup is developing a go-to-market plan for the platform.
  • StudentVerse is looking to raise its first seed funding round in the spring of 2023.
