Ad Jobs Decline

 

What the numbers say: Despite the U.S. economy adding 236,000 jobs in March, employment in advertising, public relations, and related services fell by 2,100 jobs. The above figures are based on the latest report from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics report. 

Relevance: This is the biggest monthly drop since Jan. 2021. The advertising industry added a significant number of jobs from early 2021 till last summer but has since been in decline. 

Who is impacted: The largest portion of jobs in this industry are at ad agencies, accounting for 46% of the employment.
