last Fox News show aired on Friday, April 21; the network will
temporarily air "Fox News Tonight" on weekday evenings at 8 pm ET until a
new replacement is selected.
- Carlson's exit from Fox News comes less than a week after the network settled a lawsuit brought by Dominion Voting Systems; Carlson would have been a key witness had the case gone to trial.
- Carlson's was Fox News' most-watched host.
- Lemon has been at the center of a number of recent controversies, including allegations of disrespectful and misogynist behavior, along with disparaging on-air comments about Republican presidential hopeful Nikki Haley.
