De Niro joins "Meritorious

 

De Niro & Ray Robert De Niro signed on to star in the Paramount+ crime drama series "Bobby Meritorious."  This marks De Niro's second recent TV project; he's also attached to star in the limited Netflix thriller series "Zero Day." These are De Niro's first-ever major roles for television. Paramount Television Studios won the rights to develop "Bobby Meritorious" in a competitive situation with other studios and streamers; the show comes from "The Comey Rule" writer/director Billy Ray. The series is set within the powerful US Attorney's office for the Southern District of New York (SDNY); De Niro will play an informant locked in a feud with a former police officer turned prosecutor. De Niro also appears in "Killers of the Flower Moon," director Martin Scorsese's upcoming film for Apple TV+; it's his 10th overall collaboration with Scorsese.
