Chinese ridesharing company DiDi announced it is developing its own autonomous taxis alongside local automakers for launch in 2025. DiDi would not be the first to offer autonomous ride-hailing in China, as Internet search giant Baidu has been operating public driverless rides since August through its Apollo Go app.
London-based startup Skarper, which develops technology to transform regular bicycles into high-performance e-bikes, raised £4M (~$5.01M). The global e-bike market is projected to grow to $40.98B by 2030, per Precedence Research.

Volkswagen brand chief Thomas Schäfer said that an exception to the 2035 ban on ICE cars in Europe for e-fuels is "unnecessary noise," as he believes that by then, gasoline-powered passenger vehicles "are over anyway." Budget carrier Ryanair revealed it expanded its agreement with energy company Neste so that all of its flights out of Amsterdam would operate with at least a 30% sustainable aviation fuel blend. In February, Hungarian low-cost airline Wizz Air signed a deal to purchase 36,000 tons of SAFs over three years from Neste.
Chinese EV brand Zeekr is planning to launch an SUV and a sedan in Western Europe. The automaker sold a total of 72,000 vehicles in 2022.
