Quora introduced the ability for users to create their own chatbots using prompts.
The user-created bots will be based on Anthropic's Claude Instant chatbot and OpenAI's ChatGPT, according to a blog post.
- Quora users can now prompt the bots to generate text based on a particular style, format, and other characteristics.
- Users can converse with other people's bots across all devices, including Android mobile web, desktop web, and iOS.
- Each
bot is accessible from a unique URL at "poe.com/botname," allowing
creators to share links to the bot with friends or on the web.
- Examples of bots already created include poe.com/PirateBot, which talks like a pirate, and poe.com/emojis, which translates messages into emojis.
- Quora first started beta testing Poe, a platform for users to interact with various AI chatbots, in December.
- In February, the Q&A site launched the Poe chatbot app publicly for iOS users.
