India's ONDC enables B2B transactions

India's government-backed Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC) announced on June 5 that it enabled B2B transactions.

The interoperable e-commerce network has appointed two startups to launch B2B transactions.

  • The government of India officially launched the ONDC on Dec. 31, 2022, to facilitate and promote open e-commerce.
  • The two startups onboarded to the network include Kerala-based B2B trade startup Rapidor and New Delhi-based sales and payments startup SignCatch.
  • Last month, the ONDC launched a testing phase where both startups conducted roughly 160 cross-transactions on the open network.
