Paramount+ in charts

Paramount+ with Showtime: On June 27, Paramount+ with launch its full integration of the Showtime platform, rebranding as Paramount+ With Showtime. A subscription will run $11.99 per month, a 17% increase over Paramount+'s previous top tier, but still less than comparable packages from Max and Netflix. The lowest-cost Paramount+ plan will now cost $5.99, and won't include content from Showtime.

Paramount Global United: This marks a unification of Paramount's largest streaming presences for the first time. The company hopes to cut down on churn by offering more content on a single subscription and use hot Showtime content -- like "Yellowjackets" and new spinoffs of popular franchises like "Billions," "Dexter," "Weeds," and "Nurse Jackie" -- to drive more subscribers to its primary platform. The company also still operates the Sky Showtime platform in foreign markets, particularly Europe.

Reading the Chart: Today's chart shows Paramount Global's total subscriber growth since 2019, when it was still split between two primary services in the US: CBS All Access and Showtime. Paramount+ launched in March of 2021, leading to a spike of interest in the new platform, based around the company's US marketing blitz. Paramount Global stopped providing separate subscriber counts for their various services in Q4 2022; moving forward, the company will only offer subscriber counts for Paramount+ during earnings calls.
