What the numbers say: The 2023 State of B2B Digital Marketing report from Wpromote reveals that 85% of U.S. B2B marketers surveyed say they are focused more on profitability than growth. A profitability-centered mindset influences companies' budget priorities and strategic decision-making. 70% of survey participants expect their digital marketing budget to increase significantly. The marketing channels expected to see the most significant budget increase include social media (49%), content marketing (44%), and email (35%.) 

Relevance: Social media enables brands to reach out directly to potential customers using their own social media pages. Moreover, brands can follow their competitors' social media pages to learn more valuable information about their target audience and gauge the latest trends. Content marketing is another major area of focus among B2B marketers. This type of marketing leverages relevant and useful content in blogs, newsletters, white papers, social media posts, emails, and videos to build solid relationships with customers. 2022 data from Semrush found that the top four technologies used by marketers and business owners worldwide for content marketing were social media posting tools (58%), website analytics tools (49%), email marketing software (48%), and SEO tools (43%.)     

Brands that should care: All brands, especially those with a younger target audience, should keep informed on current digital marketing strategies, channels, and tools to remain relevant among consumers. Companies should analyze which marketing technologies can benefit their business most and then take steps to invest in training and the implementation of these solutions.
