Twitters turns to partnerships to revamp business

Twitter is looking into other avenues that can potentially drive revenue amid backlash surrounding changes implemented by Elon Musk, which include prioritizing free speech at all costs and reinstating the accounts of controversial figures.

The changes have reportedly caused Twitter's ad revenue to drop significantly.

Musk and Twitter's new Chief Executive Linda Yaccarino recently hosted an investor presentation, where they shared plans to revamp the social media company's business, including partnerships with political and entertainment figures and payments services and media companies.

  • Many advertisers pulled their ads from Twitter to protect their image and reputation. However, the investor presentation revealed that many major advertising companies have backtracked on that decision.
  • According to Yaccarino, ad spending has increased at least 40% YoY in several categories, including health, consumer packaged goods, and financial services.
