Workday appoints new CMO

Workday, a U.S. company with a software platform for finance, HR, planning, and spending management, has appointed former Salesforce executive Emma Chalwin as its new CMO.

Chalwin replaces outgoing CMO Pete Schlampp, who has worked at the company for nearly seven years.

Chalwin served as executive VP of global field marketing at Salesforce and has held various other roles within the company for more than eight years, based on her LinkedIn profile.

  • While employed at Salesforce, Chalwin led go-to-market efforts, initiatives to promote brand awareness, and other significant marketing strategies.
  • Schlampp is reportedly leaving Workday "to return to his entrepreneurial root," according to a company spokesperson.
